Common Questions

We accommodate specific dates if we have sufficient lead time. The first available pickup date for car shipping is most often 2-7 business days after an order is placed, depending on the route. Please note that there can be weather delays and other carrier delays that may interfere with the process that is out of our control.

The further in advance you book your transport, the more likely we will be able to meet you desired dates. We recommend 2 weeks in advance from the desired pickup date. If you need expedited shipping please contact our team of experts and we will accommodate your needs.

No, booking on certain days does not impact the price.

Yes, you can ship more than one vehicle with us, and we may even give you a discount.

Insurance and Personal items in the vehicle

Yes. However, we would advise not to because personal belonging is not covered under insurance if they are reported as damaged or missing. The total weight of these items cannot be more than a hundred pounds and must be left in the trunk or back seats (under the window line).

Yes, your vehicle is insured under the carrier’s policy against in-transit damage from the time it gets loaded onto the truck, to the moment it has taken off.

It is recommended but not required. The vehicle will be insured under the carrier’s policy.

Your vehicle is inspected at time of pick up by both parties. If there are any damages once delivered, you must note it on the Bill of Lading paperwork and receive a copy from the driver. Take pictures of the damage and contact us for necessary documents to file the claim.

Payment & Pricing

You may cancel your order with no cancellation fee before the point of “carrier dispatch”. Which is when we confirm the final details with you, and you pay the first deposit. At that point we have rendered our services and dispatched the driver to pick up your vehicle.

Rates are calculated depending on many variables that vary. Such as the distance, make and model of the vehicle, location, transport type, vehicle condition, seasonality and more.

Your quote is valid for 14 days from the time you receive the quote. This is due to prices varying throughout the year.

Pick up and Delivery

A driver typically covers about 500 miles per day. Generally, a 1,000-mile transport will take 2-3 days on average. For longer cross-country transports above 2,400 miles expect anywhere from 8-9 days.

We suggest you remove any personal items, especially anything of value. Remove toll devices and disable any sort of security devices which could give the carrier any issues. Inspect all four tires are aired and ready for transit. finally, we suggest taking pictures and or videos of the vehicle before it is loaded onto the trailer, in case of any damage claims.

Yes, either yourself or someone you give authority to must be present to release and accept delivery of the vehicle, provide keys to the driver and sign the initial and final inspection Bill of lading sheet. This person can be anyone over the age of 18 that you trust with releasing or accepting your vehicle.

In this case we can discuss and plan with the driver what location is best suited nearby to offload or load your vehicle.

Top load refers to the top level of a car hauler having two decks. Your vehicle will be on the top deck away from debris, vehicle leaks and rocks.

Miscellaneous questions & helpful information

Open transport refers to trailers that are open to the outside elements. While an enclosed is a closed off trailer that shelters your vehicle and is used mostly for shipping vehicles such as exotics, classics, custom cars, and race cars. Most dealerships ship their new cars on open transport trailers.

“Door to door service” means the carrier will be able to pickup and deliver as close as possible to the addresses provided.

After completing your booking, we will locate your carrier and assign them to your shipment. once you agree and accept the details. The carrier will be dispatched for pick up, and It will be loaded on a trailer and off to its destination it goes. Prior to the vehicle being picked up and delivered, the trucker will contact you regarding timing.
